First time

I am a first time user here at Blogger.

I was honored to be able to attend a Joshua Bell concert on the 14th. It was truly amazing. I cannot believe how perfect and musical one can be...to achieve that level of talent. Every time I hear Joshua perform a piece, I can feel the music....I just hold my breath during the sweetest or most difficult of parts. I marvel at the agility that his hands have when playing said difficult passages. I yearn to be able to play with even half of his ability...however, I could play for the rest of my life and not achieve such a goal. I am thankful for the teachers that I have who believe in me and can see the progress that I often am not able to see for myself. But, at least I know I will always play even if it is a simple performance...just because it is what I enjoy the most. Also perfroming with Josh was his pianist, Jeremy Denk. You could see from his facial expressions how much he was into the music as well. He has such a sweet way to play the soft pssages and is always just at the right dynamic so as to not cover Josh or not be heard himself. It looks like such a tough job to be an accompanist. I reall admire any pianist becuase he basically has two jobs when performing, play their own music and follow the solist. But I guess Mr. Denk is just as amazing on his piano as mr. Bell is on his violin. Together, they make a wonderful display of sounds and expressions.
